About Me

A little about myself and the players in my life.

I am a stay at home mom and wife. C, my wonderful husband, and I have been together since 2008 and married since 2011. He makes it possible for me to be a stay at home mother, by working hard and providing for our family. Currently, we have a son, Marshmallow, and another son, Skywalker, on the way. I currently spend my days focused on Marshmallow and preparing for the arrival of Skywalker. When I have the time, I find myself in my sewing room working on something. I also am frequently found in the kitchen making bread or canning/freezing various foods.  I also enjoy a good book, but I never have time for that anymore. I only get to crack open a good book when we are on the road traveling. Really my days are focused on making memories with our son. Everything else can wait. And soon life will get a bit more busy, when we welcome home our new addition.

Marshmallow, our 3 year old son. I refer to him as Marshmallow, as that was one of his earliest nicknames. He was a chunky little guy, but must have been made of fluffy marshmallows. He has always been deceiving in how he looks verses what he weighs. The nickname is quiet fitting though, as he loves marshmallows. Not that we give them to him often, they are a rare treat. Mainly reserved for camping trips. Marshmallow is developmentally delayed, a topic I will be posting about often. He has a speech delay and is newly diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Otherwise, he loves trains. To the point of it being possibly an obsession of his. And I am not talking Thomas. I am talking real trains. He gets very excited anytime he hears a train in our travel. He has been on several trains and we hope to take him on more during our travels. He also loves to help me in the kitchen. He pulls over the step ladder and sets up right next to me to help. Mostly he spends his days being a monkey and climbing all over everything. Yep, he is the reason for all my white hairs. But I would not change any of it. He is my little Marshmallow and I love him for everything he is.

Skywalker, our expected, soon to arrive, little guy. From even before we learned we were pregnant with Skywalker, C referred to our hopeful new addition as Luke or Leia. So Skywalker it is. He will hopefully make his arrival by the first few days of May at latest. We are both very excited about growing our family and Marshmallow becoming a big brother. Lots of changes will be happening upon welcoming Skywalker home, but all good and exciting changes. It will take time to get used to having a newborn in the house again. As well as learning to raise two children together, verses just having one. If he takes after his brother, at all, I will certainly have my hands full.
